A GREEN group has been helping its community reduce energy, save money and clean up the environment.

Green Neighbours, in Milton, joined Portsmouth City Council’s environment and recycling officers to learn practical tips about how to reduce energy consumption in the home and save on fuel bills.

Spencer Dawson, Portsmouth City Council’s senior environment and recycling officer, said: ‘It was a really successful event, and the group has learnt how small changes in our lifestyles can make a difference to our environment and our wallets.

‘We hope they will share what they’ve learnt today with friends, family and neighbours.’

The group has also done other things to help the Milton area be greener.

One of these included cleaning up a section of Langstone Harbour.
