A GREEN-FINGERED community group needs help putting the finishing touches on its new home.

Southsea Greenhouse wants a haulage firm to help transport its cabin from 1000 Lakeside, in North Harbour, to its community garden next to Canoe Lake, in Southsea.

The group needs help shifting its 25ft by 9ft cabin because its transport has fallen through.

The structure was bought using a £1,000 grant from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation. Southsea Greenhouse couldn’t move it straight away because there were planning objections.

The completed garden is set to open on April 21.

Founder Sue Stokes said: ‘We are delighted now that planning is complete, a lease has been signed with the council and we are finally in the garden.’
