TRIBUTES have been paid to a husband and wife who died in a road tragedy.

Albert Price, known as Bert, and his wife Jean Price died following a crash on the A143 in Ellingham, Norfolk, last Friday.

The elderly couple lived in Liss and leave behind five children.

A family statement read: ‘We are of course deeply mourning the sudden loss of our mum and dad, Bert and Jean. We wish to thank friends and relatives for the deluge of kind support at this difficult time.

‘We are comforted in our grief by the fact that others involved in the collision were not seriously injured.

‘Mum and dad had strong Christian faith, and we recognise that God has chosen to take them home, although completely sudden and unexpected for us, they remain together.’

They praised the support of the emergency services.
