A CHARITY event managed to raise hundreds of pounds for a local charity.

A harvest market at Deverell Hall, in London Road, in Purbrook, raised £520 for The Rowans Hospice, which cares for the terminally-ill.

The event was held over the weekend by the Purbrook and Widley Rowans Support Group.

Christine Haustead, secretary, said: ‘We would like to thank everyone for their support.’
