Groups across area get ready to clean for Queen
Across the area, groups are getting ready to take part in the Clean for the Queen event marking the Queen’s 90th birthday year.
In Gosport, MP Caroline Dinenage has pledged her support. She said: ‘It is great to see we have so many events arranged already.

Fareham Borough Council is also encouraging people in the town to do their bit.
Executive member for Streetscene, Cllr Tiffany Harper, said: ‘We welcome events such as this to highlight the problem to the minority of residents who are not as considerate in disposing of their litter as the majority are.’
Havant Borough Council is also calling on people to take part and is acting as a hub for equipment and information. Rachel Madocks School, in Waterlooville, is also taking part with a clean-up.

Hide AdPortsmouth City Council leader Donna Jones said Clean for the Queen was a fantastic way to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. ‘Littering is an issue that frustrates many of us,’ she said.
‘By getting stuck in, it shows that communities won’t put up with mess and we take pride in our city.’
