Hair and beauty to take centre stage as awards return

Hundreds of people are set to descend on the Guildhall tonight to celebrate the best in the hair and beauty industry.

The News’ Hair and Beauty Awards are returning for their sixth year for a sell-out night.

The awards recognise excellence across the hair and beauty industry – from apprentices to lifetime achievement.

TV beauty expert Gina Akers, who also presented last year, will be presenting the winners of 14 categories.

She said: ‘I am absolute thrilled to be part of these awards.

‘I admire what the The News does by giving a platform to recognise the hard work of the people in the hair and beauty industries.

‘These people are incredibly hardworking and they deserve some recognition.’

Hundreds of entries were received this year making it the best ever year.

These were assessed by a panel of expert judges who chose the winners.

Readers also nominated in their thousands for this year’s revamped Readers’ Choice category.
