APPRENTICES at Highbury College raised almost £100 last week for a charity that supports people in the hair and beauty industry.

The hair and beauty students offered half-price perms to clients at the college’s Arundel Street salon on Tuesday and Wednesday – and all proceeds were donated to the Hairdressing and Beauty Benevolent Fund.

The event was timed to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week, to raise awareness of the benefits of taking on and training an apprentice.

Highbury College has launched a new selection of one-day beauty courses including a variety of techniques from acrylic nail application to Indian head massages.
