DEMONSTRATIONS and mini taster treatment sessions are being offered by a salon to help raise money for The Rowans Hospice.

Vestry Hair and Beauty, in West Street, Havant, is hosting a treatment day, with money donated going to the hospice in Purbrook.

Salon director Richard Pearce said: ‘The hospice staff provide the most incredible care to people in the final stages of terminal illness and amazing support and counselling to their families and loved ones.

‘The work they carry out and the facilities they have are approximately 20 per cent government-funded. The remainder of their funding comes from fundraising, which is a staggering task.

‘Our motive for raising money is the hospice looked after one of staff’s father at the end of his long battle with cancer.

‘The care and comfort they gave was wonderful.’

The treatment day takes place on Sunday, November 6, from 10am to 4pm.

Tips will be given on a range of treatment including, styling, and blowdrying hair, eyelash extensions, skincare and facials.

Free goodie bags with haircare products will also be given out to visitors and prizes for a raffle have also been donated.
