Halloween Ball raises thousands for the Rainbow Centre

THOUSANDS of pounds were raised at a Halloween ball for the Rainbow Centre.

The charity, based in Fareham, raised £15,500 from the event on October 21 at the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel in North Harbour.

The funds raised would be enough to pay for the centre’s Early Intervention Group to run for three months.

A ‘frightful night’ saw zombies from Dark Encounters at Fort Widley greet guests before a performance from the SJ Academy of Dance.

A live and silent auction was then
held with prizes such as a sailing trip on the Solent, tickets to see England v Argentina at Twickenham, a signed polo shirt from Friends actor Matt LeBlanc and a luxury spa break.

The centre supports children and adults with cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and those recovering from a stroke or head injury from across the Solent region.

The ball concluded with a lively night on the dance floor.
