COUNTRYSIDE and wildlife courses are being run by a charity.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust has teamed up with Staunton Country Park for courses ranging from painting butterflies to cooking and preparing game outdoors.

The first course, on April 21, is about identifying trees. Ten species will be covered and those taking part will learn the folk lore and mythology of trees and which ones are good for burning, medicine, eating and carving.

Preparing and cooking game outdoors is on April 28 and on May 9 there will be a drawing and painting butterflies workshop.
