BUDDING musicians are being invited to bid for a share of funding to help them develop their talents.

The Dayas Music Scholarship is an annual grant scheme, set up from a sum of money left by a Hampshire teacher in her will.

Councillor Ken Thornber, leader of Hampshire County Council, said: ‘These music scholarships give the chance for people to seek support for new musical interests, and to have lessons to help them refresh “rusty” musical skills.’
