MEMBERS from a green pressure group will meet in Emsworth to plan future campaigns.

Hampshire’s Friends of the Earth Network will join together at The Crown Hotel, High Street, on March 17 from 11am.

Organiser Ray Cobbett, an Emsworth resident, said the town was a perfect choice.

‘We have a thriving green community here what with voluntary groups caring for woods, meadows, trees and waysides and a very successful horticultural association.’

Delegates from nearby Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham and Winchester will be discussing new campaigns on the threat to bee colonies, rising energy bills and higher recycling targets.
