Hampshire supermarkets raise thousands for charity

ASDA stores in Gosport and Fareham have raised thousands of pounds for charity.

In the Fareham store, a 24-hour walkathon was held, and guests such as the mayor of Fareham Councillor Geoff Fazackarley hopped on a treadmill for the store’s Tickled Pink cancer charity, before mayor of Gosport Councillor Linda Batty closed proceedings the next day.

In Gosport, there were in-store games for children to play and free gifts handed out, all organised by the store’s community champion Rachel Webber.

Together, the stores managed to raise a total of just under £2,000 for the charity.
