Hang a bauble and help vulnerable children in the area

Action for Children has joined forces with HomeSense, in Chichester Retail Park, again to raise funds for its children’s centre in Havant.

Customers are invited to buy a Christmas bauble for £1, then write a festive message or their happiest childhood Christmas memory before hanging it on a special tree in the store.

All proceeds will go to the leading UK charity’s Sharps Copse and Park Futures centre, in Prospect Lane.

Joanna Alesbury, team lead at the centre, said: “We are thrilled to be involved with the HomeSense Hang a Bauble initiative again this year.

“We will use the generous funding to deliver more programmes for families in the area, including a range of parenting, child development and healthy living courses.”

Last year, the national campaign raised more than £150,000 for the charity’s family support, children’s centre, disability, and fostering and adoption services.

Sarah Cook, director of fundraising at Action for Children, said: “Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for vulnerable children, young people and their families. This is why for the past six years we have been delivering our Hang a Bauble campaign in partnership with HomeSense, raising funds for our services in communities up and down the country.”

There are 39 HomeSense stores raising money for Action for Children services in their area.
