STAFF at two DIY stores joined together to trek 100 miles for charity.

The group from Havant and Waterlooville Wickes stores were raising money for the blood cancer charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

Jonathan Laishley, Roger Knight, Luke Relph and Ashley Morgan set off from Winchester to begin the 10 hour-a-day walk over rough and varied terrain.

The intrepid team covered up to 40 miles a day with their heavy packs, before reaching Eastbourne five days later.

Jonathan said: ‘All in all it was quite an adventure and while we all suffered with various walking injuries, we are all very proud to have completed it and to have smashed our fundraising target of £700.

We really appreciate all the support from friends and family in helping us to achieve this goal, and to everyone who has donated to our trek to help beat blood cancer.
