THE Mayor of Havant is urging people to support his chosen charities this October.

Money raised at two community events will support the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Dorothy’s Dream, The Rowans Hospice at Home Appeal.

Mayor Ken Smith’s charity concert will be held at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 8, at St Wilfrid’s Church, in Padnell Road, Cowplain.

The Havant Clarinet and Saxophone Choir and the Spinnaker Chorus will both be performing.

Tickets are £8 each and are available in advance by calling the Mayor’s secretary on (023) 9244 6152 or emailing anne.thurlow@havant.gov.uk).

The Mayor and Mayoress Hazel Smith will also be hosting a coffee morning at The Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Peter The Apostle Parish Centre, in London Road, Waterlooville, at 10.30am until midday on Wednesday, October 12.

Tickets are £2 on the door.
