A TOWN will come together to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday – and help to renovate an ancient church.

A street party takes place around St Faith’s Church, in West Street, Havant, on Saturday, June 11. Ann Buckley, one of the organisers, said: ‘The event starts at 11am with a peal of bells and finishes at 2pm. Everyone is welcome. Food and drink is provided and there is no charge but a donation to the Big Build would be welcomed.’

June 11 during the Middle Ages was St Barnabas’s Day, and for centuries the Barnabas Fair was held in and around St Faith’s church.
