WORSHIPPERS are being treated to a series of fun activities at Portsmouth churches.

A coffee morning is being held at St Faith’s Church, in Crasswell Street, Landport, on June 1.

The event, which begins at 10am, will also raise funds towards the upkeep of the building.

Four days later a lunch will be held at St Mary’s Church, in Fratton Road, Fratton.

Proceeds from the meal, which starts at midday, will go to a charity. On June 8, the British Orthodox community will hold its monthly service at St Faith’s Church.

The next day there will be a service marking the anniversary of Charles Dickens’ death at St Mary’s Church.

Members of The Dickens Fellowship will hold a talk and there will be readings from Dickens. It starts at 4pm.
