Head of charity trust calling on walkers

Have your say

AN ARMY needs to be raised for a fundraising walk to keep a surgical robot at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

That’s the message from Mick Lyons, head of The Rocky Appeal.

He said: ‘This really is a great piece of kit and will help so many people in this area.

‘We need to raise an army for this walk.’

It starts at 10am and there is no registration fee but people are advised to get a sponsorship form.

The robot can perform keyhole surgery which means surgeons can look inside a patient without having to cut into them.
