Have your say

MORE than 5,000 people have come forward to help shape community and mental health services in the Portsmouth area.

Over the past year, Solent NHS Trust has been looking for members of the public and service users to become members.

This entitles them to stand for election as governors, vote in elections, take part in surveys, focus groups and meetings and get regular information about the trust.

Chief executive Dr Ros Tolcher said: ‘We’re delighted with the number of people that have signed up as members.

‘They have already started having their say about the future of our trust and our services through events and surveys.

‘I would encourage anyone who would like to have a say in their local health services to sign up as a member.

‘We are looking for at least 7,000 members.’

People need to be aged 14 or over to join.
