STALLS will be put up around the Portsmouth area to encourage more people to talk about death, dying and bereavement.

Monday, May 14, marks the start of the national Dying Matters week.

It is aimed at getting people to talk about making preparations for their final moments.

This year the week has a theme of Small Actions, Big Difference, and focuses on taking simple steps, such as making a will.

The Rowans Hospice, in Purbrook, is hosting a series of information stalls with nurses on the following days and locations:

n Monday, May 14, Meridian Shopping Centre, in Havant.

n Tuesday, May 15, main entrance of Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.

n Wednesday, May, 16, Fareham Shopping Centre, Fareham.

n Thursday, May 17, Asda store, Havant.

n Friday, May 18, Cascades shopping centre, Portsmouth.

The team will be able to answer questions and dispel some myths about hospice and palliative care.
