PARENTS are being encouraged to be real-life superheroes by ensuring their children have their vaccinations.

Between April 3 and April 5, a team of people will be on the streets of Portsmouth giving tips and handing out leaflets to advise parents on giving their children life-saving vaccinations.

Matt Pickerill, development manager for health protection said: ‘Getting your children vaccinated is so important because it helps to protect them from potentially fatal illnesses.

‘We don’t want parents and children to fear vaccinations, so we are touring Portsmouth giving out tips and advice.

‘This will hopefully encourage parents to take their children for their jabs.’

The team will be at Morrison’s in Victory Retail Park, Portsmouth, Commercial Road and Asda in Fratton between 10am and 4pm.
