THE air ambulance charity is appealing for unwanted shoes to help raise funds.
Whether it’s shoes, boots or wellies, or trainers, gym shoes or slippers – the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance can turn unwanted footwear into much-needed cash.
The charity is running the Save Old Soles campaign which involves recycling shoes and selling them on through traders in other countries. Or if they are beyond repair, they can be used to mend other footwear.
If you have unwanted footwear and would like to help keep the air ambulance flying visit hiow-airambulance.org.uk/page.cfm/recycling/save-old-soles-for-hiowaa, or call (023) 8033 3377, and you will be sent an SOS shoe bag to put your shoes in and put in your nearest shoe recycling bank.
