AN AMBULANCE service has launched an app to make sure critically injured people are taken to the right hospital.

The Trauma Triage Tool has been created by Els Freshwater, a South Central Ambulance Service paramedic and trainee consultant practitioner.

The app ensures crews take critically injured trauma patients to the right hospital, based on their condition and location.

Mark Ainsworth-Smith, consultant pre-hospital care practitioner and trauma lead, said: ‘The app has undergone extensive testing and we’re delighted with the results.’
