A NEW campaign highlights the dangers of drinking every night at home – and reveals this can be as dangerous as binge drinking.

The campaign across Hampshire and West Sussex warns that social drinking or a regular drink to relax after work can seriously affect your wellbeing.

The campaign is focusing on 35 to 55-year-olds and encourages them to ‘rethink’ how much they drink.

Three short films, available on the ‘Rethink Your Drink’ website, ask viewers to think about their drinking behaviour.

Councillor Eileen Lintill, in charge of community services in Chichester, says: ‘It’s very easy to go home and have a couple of glasses of wine or beer to relax after work but we may not realise that by doing this regularly we are drinking above the recommended amounts and putting our health at risk.’

Tips include reducing the size of your wine glasses. For information on the campaign see
