PEOPLE are being encouraged to attend an evening to find out more about the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity in the UK which aims to improve the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer aged between 13 and 24.

The charity funds and builds specialist wards in hospitals, which bring young people with cancer together so they can support each other whilst receiving the best possible treatment.

At the moment, the trust is fundraising to build one of these units at Southampton General Hospital.

The trust also provides support networks and free education talks to local schools and colleges.

But at the moment with no government funding, the trust is looking for support from the public.

The open evening will take place at the Lysses Hotel in High Street, Fareham at 7pm on Monday, April 30,

The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
