FUNDRAISERS are putting on their gladrags to help families of seriously-ill children.

The popular annual Boogie Nights disco will this year be held in aid of Sam’s Haven.

The charity was set up by six-year-old Sam Merrick and his family.

Sam, from Denmead, has a range of serious and ongoing health issues which means he has to spend long periods of time in hospital.

The family found the only real respite they got together as a family was on a short break at a caravan in West Sussex.

They have now raised enough money to buy a caravan to give other families in their position the chance for rest and relaxation.

Boogie Nights takes place at the Irish Club, Elm Grove, Southsea, on Saturday, October 18 from 8pm. Music is hits from 1960s and 1970s. Tickets cost £5. Contact Dinah Walters on (023) 9281 4599 or
