NURSES from Portsmouth will join thousands of others for an annual union meeting.
From next Monday, members of the Royal College of Nursing will meet in Liverpool for a congress meeting.
It provides members a chance to comment and influence council policy and help to inform the RCN’s work for the coming year.
On Thursday, Ann Smart from Portsmouth will be proposing an item on the effects of bullying in the workplace.
She said: ‘I’m extremely pleased to have been selected to propose an item at congress. This is a very important issue and bullying in the NHS is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed.
‘Attending congress is an exciting time of the year where nurses from Portsmouth can not only get together to debate the important issues but have the chance to meet nurses from all over the country to share experiences.’
