The hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust.

The charity makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

The Moorlands Primary School pupil wants to donate her hair in memory of her nan Jackie Parr, who died from bladder cancer, eight years ago.

Jade’s mum Charlene, 32, of Grateley Crescent, Havant, said: ‘Jade saw pictures of her nan while she was having treatment and wondered where her hair had gone.

‘She then made the decision to get her hair cut and donate it to the Little Princess Trust.

‘I’m really proud of her for doing it, it was all her idea.

‘But it’s going to be a big change.

‘There will be less hair to get knots out of!’

Jade is looking forward to her new

She said: ‘I’m going to get my long hair cut I want it to be made into a wig.

‘I’m excited about it.’
