A VOLUNTARY group which uses motorcycles to transfer blood between hospitals has been given a cash boost.

Serv Wessex, which covers Hampshire, was presented with a cheque for £1,000 by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Province of the Freemasons to their monthly meeting at the Southampton and District Motorcycle Club.

The money will help to replace some of the £8,500 spent on the latest addition to the Serv Wessex fleet.
