A COLLEGE has signed up to a scheme offering free sanitary products to women.
Chichester College is now part of the Red Box Project which collects donated products from supermarkets and delivers them to schools and higher education sites.
The college has become the first organisation locally to sign up and offer the free sanitary items.
Shelagh Legrave, chief executive at the Chichester College Group, said: ‘This is a great example of how we are working with our community to help tackle important social issues. The issue of period poverty is a serious one and it can have a major impact on many young women.’
