Portsmouth GP advises people with breathing issues to get flu jab

FESTIVE cheer will be brought to patients in Queen Alexandra Hospital as different groups will be coming along to sing carols.

A variety of local groups will be coming in to sing in the main reception area of the Cosham hospital during the month.

Peter Mellor, the hospital’s company secretary said: ‘We are delighted that these choirs are coming to sing in our main reception area, once again.

‘Their beautiful singing always has a really positive and cheering effect on the hospital.’

Performances take place on the following days and times:

n Friday, December 9, members of the Portsmouth Association will be singing from 2pm to 2.45pm.

n Thursday, December 15, children from Tops Day Nursery, Portsmouth will be singing from 11am to midday.

n Thursday, December 15, singers from Africapello will be performing from 7pm to 9.15pm.

n Friday, December 16, Portsmouth Girls School Choir will be singing from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

n Saturday, December 17, Spirit of the South singers, from 2pm to 3pm.

n Monday, December 19, staff and patients from the renal unit will be singing from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

n Tuesday, December 20, the Pitch Pipers Singing Group, will be performing from 7pm to 8pm.

n Thursday, December 22, Portsmouth Cathedral Choral Scholars, from 2pm to 3pm.

Patients, staff and visitors are welcome to see the carol singers.
