STREET dance and mini fencing classes will be returning to a community centre.

Free children’s mini fencing classes are restarting on Tuesday, February 1, between 5pm to 6pm.

The classes are open for children aged five to 11 and a complete beginner course is also available.

Children will use foam equipment such as foam sabres at the John Pounds Centre, Queen Street, Portsea.

The club is funded by Sports Unlimited.

Street dance classes are also starting again at the centre, from Friday, February 4.

The club will give children a chance to learn dance moves and routines, some which are in music videos and films.

Classes cost £1 per child per week.

The centre hopes the classes will encourage children to socialise and get fit.

They run on Fridays from 4pm to 4.45pm for children aged five to 10 years old.

They are from 4.45pm to 5.30pm for children aged 11 to 16.

For more information call the centre on (023) 9289 2010.
