Concerns for man’s welfare cause of centre call out

EMERGENCY services were called to a shopping centre after shoppers and staff became concerned for a man’s welfare.

An ambulance was called to Cascades Shopping Centre in Portsmouth at midday yesterday.

Police were also called to help the ambulance crew.

A spokeswoman from South Central Ambulance Service said they took one man to Queen Alexandra Hospital in 
Cosham following the incident, which ended in Starbucks Coffee Shop.

The incident was over by 12.55pm.
