A HAMPSHIRE-BASED charity that provides support to carers of people with dementia has received a £5,000 grant.

The money has been used to fund a monthly art therapy class run by the Meon Valley Carers Group, which is a group for people with dementia and their current or former carers.

The money was raised by HealthShape through the Health Lottery.

Jane Ward, co-ordinator of the Meon Valley Carers Group, said: ‘We are delighted to receive this funding.’
