A HUB that supports the family of friends of dementia patients has launched in Sussex.

The launch of the Knowing Me Carers Hub service took place at St Richard’s Hospital, in Chichester.

The service is available to anyone whose loved one is an in-patient at the hospital and who has dementia.

The hub offers people caring for someone with a dementia the chance to get advice, and find out how they can access expert help on subjects such as emotional support, finances, and respite care.

The weekly drop-in sessions take place every Tuesday, between 3pm to 4pm at the Terrace restaurant in the hospital.

The launch took place during Dementia Awareness Week, which is organised by the charity the Alzheimer’s Society.
