A DIABETES charity has created a set of terrifyingly tasty treats this Halloween to make sure people aren’t haunted by their sugar intake.
The festival has been heavily associated with hordes of trick or treaters armed with an avalanche of sugary snacks.
However now, Halloween looks set for a makeover with Diabetes UK creating a host of spooky snacks.
Jill Steaton, Diabetes UK south east regional manager said: ‘Living with diabetes and following a healthy lifestyle can be tricky at times.
‘But this shouldn’t mean fun foods should be forbidden.
‘Enjoying what you eat is one of life’s pleasures, particularly during celebrations such as Halloween.
‘These recipe ideas from the Diabetes UK Enjoy Food guide offer advice and expert diabetes nutritional information so everyone can join the party.’
If you want something to focus beyond food this Halloween, get your costumes ready for Dress Diabolical on Friday, October, 30.
Money raised from the fancy dress day goes to the charity.
