Emsworth hospital site consultation

Charity is praised for its efforts in the city

Have your say

RESIDENTS of Emsworth can have their say on the future of a former hospital.

The Emsworth Forum has launched a consultation on what should happen to the site of the Victoria Cottage Hospital, which closed down in 2013 after operating continuously for 115 years.

A report commissioned by the forum on how to improve North Street included three options for the site, including: a two-and-a-half storey building to house Emsworth Surgery; a three-storey building for Emsworth Surgery and space for community healthcare; or a three-and-a-half-storey building for Emsworth Surgery and space for housing.

Residents can give their feedback on the plans online at http://www.sentiment360.com/emsworth-hospital/
