TWO leading podiatrists will give advice about foot care at an upcoming talk.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight podiatry services superintendent Graham Bowen and operations manager Mandy Yorke will take part in the talk, called Happy Feet, to take place at St James’ Church in Emsworth on Tuesday, October 20 from 7pm to 9pm.

Emsworth Surgery Patient Group chairman Jim Strudwick said foot care was more important than ever.

He said diabetics faced an increased risk of problems with their feet because of the damage raised blood sugars can cause to sensation and circulation. He said: ‘Feet are often the most neglected part of the body, and yet one of the most important.’

The guest speakers will discuss all aspects of foot care and correct footwear and there will be chance for visitors to ask questions.
