TWO community groups in Fareham and Gosport have benefited from grants from a patient champion group.

Healthwatch Hampshire has allocated more than £32,000
to groups dealing with
health issues across the county.

Shore Leave Haslar, a group which supports service veterans in Gosport to adjust to civilian life and help those suffering mental health issues was awarded £2,000.

Steve Taylor, Healthwatch Hampshire manager, said: ‘The Community Cash Fund is a great opportunity for us to work with groups around the community who are interested in improving their health and social care services.’

Community Action Fareham was also given £2,000 to enhance its services aimed at older people.

Projects will start soon.
