FOOTBALL fans can get help to lead healthier lives ahead of Pompey’s game this weekend.

Health trainer champions – who promote healthy living in pharmacies across Portsmouth – will be at Fratton Park on Saturday before Pompey’s game against Barnsley.

They will be offering fans a chance to check up on their health and ask about healthy lifestyles or the NHS services on offer in their local pharmacy.

People will be able to find out their BMI – a measure of body fat based on height and weight – blood pressure and alcohol score, and also take home information.

Health trainer champion Tracey Jones from Rowlands Pharmacy in Kingston Crescent, North End, said: ‘It’s great to meet people who don’t use their pharmacy much at the moment and may not be aware of the range of services available in a healthy living pharmacy and expertise within the pharmacy team.’

There are 14 Healthy Living Pharmacies in the city, which all offer advice on healthy living.
