Fareham and Gosport GP receptionists join successful programme to become '˜care navigators'

RECEPTIONISTS at Hampshire GP surgeries have undergone training to become so-called '˜care navigators'.

The 10-hour programme, which has been completed by workers in Fareham and Gosport, will enable workers to divert patients to the right healthcare professionals.

The scheme has been successfully trialled elsewhere in the country and has led to GPs’ time being freed up – allowing them to work with people who truly need their help.
