PEOPLE are being given the chance to learn life-saving skills through a series of free workshops.

Janet Lamont is the owner of Alpha-Med Training, which offers basic first aid training such as CPR.

Janet is running free sessions to ensure people know what to do should someone need help around them.

It comes after the case of Bolton footballer Fabrice Muamba, who suffered a cardiac arrest during a match.

The sessions take place at the Gosport Business Centre, in Fareham Road, Gosport, and are on Saturday, April 7, at 10am and 2pm and then April 20, at 7pm.

There are a maximum of 20 places for each session.

To find out more, or to confirm your slot for the session, call 0845 388 3894.
