WHEN Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the pitch last month after a cardiac arrest, it shocked people around the world.

But paramedic Janet Lamont said more people should know how to carry out basic first aid, and she offers free sessions in Gosport.

Janet, of Alfa-Med Training, has been teaching people how to give CPR. She said: ‘Everyone should be taught in schools so people know the basics of what they should do.

‘So many times I have come to jobs and people don’t know what to do. If people know what to do it might change the outcome.’

Another session will take place on Friday, April 20, at the Gosport Business Centre at 7pm. Call 0845 388 3894 to book a place.
