SUPPORT for people with cancer is being offered at a free health and wellbeing event.

It is being jointly run by Macmillan Cancer Support and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Queen Alexandra Hospital.

The event aims to support recovery and living well following cancer treatment, and will take place at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre, in Alexandra Park, on Wednesday, February 4, from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Sinead Parry, Macmillan centre manager at QA, said ‘In addition to the support we provide at the Macmillan Information and Support Centre, events like this help us to meet the needs of more people living with and beyond cancer locally.

‘There will be a number of talks, a question and answer session with an expert panel, and plenty of opportunity to visit information stands on local services too.’

For more information or to book a place at the event, call the learning and administration team on 01904 756443, or by email
