THE doctors set to control health budgets in the area are looking for someone to join its governing body.

The South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) represents 28 GP practices and will have a budget of around £180m.

Whoever is picked will oversee elements of governance, including audit and remuneration.

Barbara Rushton, chairman of the group, said: ‘This is an exciting chance for someone to help shape and develop our CCG.

‘Although the CCG doesn’t become the main commissioning organisation until April 2013, we will be looking for the successful person to start as soon as possible following the selection procedure.’

The CCG is looking for someone that has recent and relevant financial experience and must live in the geographical area covered by the CCG – from Hayling Island to Bordon. May 31 is the closing date for applications.
