SPINNAKER Tower is due to turn orange to help raise awareness of World Osteoporosis Day.

The iconic tower in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, will change colour at 5pm today.

Osteoporosis is a condition that causes bones to become brittle, and more prone to fractures.

Actress Wendy Craig will be joining health figures to highlight the need for fracture prevention service in Portsmouth.

It is hoped the first Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) group can be set up in the city.

The National Osteoporosis Society says through a FLS, people with the condition can be identified earlier to help prevent fractures.
