FOR Gemma Noble, her long, blonde hair was her pride and joy.
But, being a busy mum-of-two she found she did not really have the time to do anything fancy with it.
So, with a little trepidation, she had her 15in ponytail chopped off in aid of charity.
The 32-year-old from Waterlooville, is a supporter of Sam’s Haven, a charity set up to provide holidays for families with seriously ill children.
Her brave decision raised £235 for the charity, in Waterlooville,
But there was also another benefit.
She said: ‘I gave my pony tail to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children going through chemotherapy.
‘It was quite nerve-racking having my hair cut but it felt good to help a little girl going through such a touch time.
‘I’d like to think someone would do something like that for me.’
There is still time to sponsor Gemma
