THOSE looking to get fitter are being asked to take advantage of a free personalised activity plan.
The Games4life campaign is being run by primary care trust cluster Ship, which covers the Portsmouth and Hampshire area.
It aims to help families and individuals become more active by offering free personalised activity plans and tips and ideas for getting up and about, while having fun, throughout the summer.
Dr Ruth Milton, director of public health for Ship, said: ‘It’s really important to be more active.
‘This doesn’t mean joining a gym or running a marathon – there are plenty of fun activities you and
your family can do, which only require small changes to your daily routine.
‘Being active helps to prevent heart disease, cancer, stroke, mental health problems and Type 2 diabetes as well as helping to maintain a healthy weight.’
To receive a plan fill out a Games4Life questionnaire online or one that is delivered through the post.
