THE success of a scheme to improve the lives of employees will be celebrated at an event.

Fareham and Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) launched its Making Every Contact Count programme two years ago.

Its aim was to encourage workforces to look at their lifestyle and make changes to be healthier. The evidence-based interventions included stopping smoking, increasing exercise, reducing alcohol consumption and eating healthy.

Sue Clarke, head of workforce and education at the CCG said: ‘More than 250 people have been trained through the network including nurses, GP receptionists, librarians, housing officers, teachers, nursery staff and leisure centre staff. We are delighted the project has received widespread support.’

An event talking about Making Every Contact Count will be held at St Vincent College between 9.30am and 2.30pm on September 20.
